Our annual Qian Fo praying day will be coming soon! Actual day is on the 19th February 2006, which is a Sunday. We will be praying to a thousand buddhas, by chanting their names. It will be conducted by Venerable Hui Ru, our previous Dharma advisor. Besides, there will also be singing and performances. Food will be provided for on 19th February and the venue will be at Tai Pei Buddhist centre. (Near Lavender Mrt station).
Venerable Hui Ru has told one of our graduates to contact us regarding the day’s performance. She said that 10 people from our Buddhist Society needs to be involved in the singing of the song “Prince Siddhartha”. No worries, the singer will be a little girl, and all of us will just be standing around her helping to raise the alphabets of “Siddhartha” during the chorus of the song.
To date, we have only got 3 volunteers so far. They are Zi hong, San san san and myself. I still need 7 more people to participate in this. We just need to attend the rehearsal the day before the actual event, on the 18th February, Saturday.

include roses ($5) and handphone strings ($5).

Duration: 11 am - 7 pm (volunteers are required to help for a minimum of
5 hours)
(1) to raise funds in support of Shan You's services which are
offered to children, families, youths and the elderly, regardless of
race, religion, and ability to pay
(2) to encourage volunteerism among school youths and other members
of public
