The following the details of Yellow Ribbon Project sent by SDAR:

SCORE has come back to us on the Project. We will need to activate 1000 students for this event - The Yellow Ribbon Walk, with PM Lee gracing the occasion.

May I seek your help in getting at least 10 students from each of your Clubs and Societies for this purpose. If each of our Clubs contribute 10 students, we will be able to meet the 1000 participants target. BA Society, on their part is already rallying their students. You may have received an email from Sheryl yesterday.

Please use the attached form for your submission. I would appreciate your returns by 22 August, so that other arrangements can be made. I will disseminate to you all more information when they do come in from the event organisers.

Please see appended, the latest information from the event organisers : The time for pre-walk warm-up is at 8.00 am and the actual walk will commence at 8.30 am Sharp so your students should be there between 7.15 to 745 am.The first batch of walkers should reach the end point at the Pasir Ris Town Park about 9.30am and can look forward to some entertainment by Jack Neo and company + a bazaar. This will last till 12 pm.

We will definitely bus our students to the launch venue. However, due to the fact that the event is being held early, and the need for our students to be there early, we will allow students to make their way there on their own - those who are staying around the East (Pasir Ris, Tampines etc).

Besides the Walk, Ngee Ann is also planning a series of games for half-way houses. The games will be held in Ngee Ann on a weekend, and will be spearheaded by a student leader - Hu Zhen You. The games considered are : Soccer, Basketball, Netball, Table Tennis and Athletics (perhaps relays only).
